I have known Kane through his sisters for quite a while now. I actually went back in my archives to 2010 when I did their family portraits. I thought long and hard about posting baby Kane on here, but instead I sent that gem to his beautiful wife, Brittany, so she can bask in his awesomeness.
There is a special place in my heart for Devon. A little more than 9 years ago, she introduced me to Ashley, who is now my wife. Prior to that moment, Devon and I were part of an elite crew of individuals. This specialized army was the backbone of the Milford Dairy Queen, and we spent the early 2000s getting slaughtered by beach traffic.
Back in my Respiratory Therapy days, I had a few handfuls of hospital staff members that I thoroughly enjoyed picking on. Steph, a nurse from the 5th floor of Nanticoke, was one of the lucky ones to fall within that category. After I hung up my STETHOSCOPE to collect dust, she messaged me asking if I could photograph her engagement portraits and wedding day in Marydel. My immediate response was “Where the heck is Marydel? And of course I will!”
HERE WE ARE IN THE MONTH OF JUNE, AND IT JUST ALSO HAPPENS TO BE MY BUSIEST MONTH FOR WEDDINGS THIS YEAR. I MET KAYCIE AND MATT LAST YEAR WHEN I DID THEIR ENGAGEMENT PICTURES, AND IT WAS AT THAT MOMENT THAT I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL COUPLE. THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION HAD TO BE RESCHEDULED 4 OR 5 TIMES DUE TO SOME PRETTY INSANE THUNDERSTORMS.
THIS YEAR MY WEDDING SEASON STARTED EARLIER THAN I HAD ORIGINALLY PLANNED. DAVID AND DAVID REACHED OUT TO ME LAST MONTH AS THEY SCRAMBLED TO LOOK FOR A REPLACEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER. FORTUNATELY, I WAS AVAILABLE TO TAKE PART IN THEIR CELEBRATION, AND THE RESULT IS AN AMAZING KICK OFF TO THE REDESIGN OF MY WEDDING BLOG.
