Delaware Boudoir Photographer

For the majority, a boudoir session means taking a big step out of their comfort zone. Ms. G said she was no different, and that she hoped she would at least get a few good images. after doing these she commented that her confidence shot through the roof. Still gives me goosebumps to hear my clients say stuff like that. It’s one of the major reasons I love what I do.

When I arrived at Ms. G’s house, she met me outside to walk me in. She had her makeup artist/best friend, Will, with her (who also supplied some of these outfits…yes they are a part of his wardrobe), and also kudos to him for being an amazing assistant. Now when she walked outside to meet me she didn’t wear any shoes, so let’s all ogle those feet in this first photo :P The shadows EXAGGERATE it, they were totally not that dirty. We cleaned them up as soon as we noticed them in camera. I just could not scrap this photo though because it’s so stunning overall.

I’m willing to bet that if I didn’t say anything, you would never have noticed that little detail. Also, One of the things I have really become good at is showing how to pose. It’s tough to describe to another person on how you want their body to position, and I have learned that it is just easier to lead by example. Ms. G even pointed out that she should be the one taking photos of me because of how good I was at it. Anyways, every pose I did she mirrored IMPECCABLY, and if I looked even a smidgen as good as she did doing them then maybe I should have some boudoir photos of myself done (side note: male boudoir is called dudoir).

One of the things I do in photoshop is I will dodge and burn to add definition to a photo. It’s something very subtle, but it adds so much more to images like these. When Ms. G got into this pose, Will told me to hold on for a second. He told me that he needed to put more boob makeup on. So ESSENTIALLY, he “dodged and burned” that area of her body, and made the girls pop just a tad more.

Something that I feel that sets me apart from everyone else is my personality. I like to have fun no matter what I am doing, and I absolutely love to laugh. It leads to photos like this next one which is hard to fake. You can ask a person to smile, or you can give them a reason to.

You have to have a booty pic otherwise how are we going to know what your mama gave you?

This last one was in that exact same bedroom. Ms. G is on the shorter side so I had her stand on my camera case to elevate her above her furniture just a tad. This allowed me to compose her in a way that makes it seem like she is standing in front of a plain backdrop.

With boudoir, I think less is definitely more. It’s a very sensual art form, and you don’t need to put every inch of skin on display to make something sexy. It’s a dance your choreograph between the curves you show, and the lines that you conceal.
