There are several milestones in life that usually get documented one way or another in photograph form. The day you were born, your first birthday, your first day of school, becoming a senior in high school, and my personal favorite your Dirty 30. At this age, most people have started or are starting a family, and have their careers in place. It’s also the time that most people refuse to believe that they are no longer in their 20’s(Forever 29! What What!). I just want to say that 30 years old has never looked so good, and you absolutely need to celebrate yourself and all the things that make you beautiful! Mrs. A’s boudoir session is a prime example in showing that just because you are 30, it does not mean you can’t still drop some jaws.

Oh captain my captain! Mrs. A wanted to use her husband’s captain shirt to start off her boudoir session. USing your significant other’s uniform is a great way to personalize your photos.

She is absolutely nailing that hair across the eye gaze! At this point we had done a few different poses with the captain shirt, and I asked her if she was ready to do her next set without it. She asked me if she could have one more shot of tequila, I only allow one drink during a shoot, but I buckled and let her have it. I guess that song is true. How does it go? Oh yes! “Tequila makes her clothes fall off.”

This was her first time doing anything of this nature, but this photo screams “Yes, I’ve been on the cover of Victoria’s Secret, so what?”

I’m ending this blog post with my all time favorite shot from Mrs. A’s boudoir session. As you may have noticed from my other posts, I like to make the title of these something unique. This one is no exception. So I have a certain way I work. As I am guiding a pose, I will say stuff like “just give me a little smirk of a smile” or “use your nose to follow my finger.” What came out was “Okay, I need you to smile with your nose.” There was maybe a split second where she attempted to do what I asked before we erupted in laughter. This was that shot. If you look closely, I think she actually pulled off the impossible and smiled with her nose.
