Paige and Brady

It’s been hot and dry for a long time so naturally, a wedding day brings on the rain. These two had a day filled with good luck, but there were pauses at all the right times. The ladies looked gorgeous, and I’m still surprised their hair lasted all day. The guys were full of shenanigans, and they assured me the party would not fizzle. Loved this little vanity set.

Easily my favorite public restroom photos I have ever taken.

The girls were amazing at moving all the bridal party essentials around the room. Bags went from the couch to this wall, and then back again. A little manual labor and the chaos looked nonexistent.

Hair and makeup were done off-site, but we can always fake it. Huge shoutout to Carol for keeping the day organized and relatively stress-free!

First look with Dad and Bro.

Brady spent the first half of the day blindfolded, and he was such a great sport about it.

Tear filled private vows.

The worst part about heavy rain before or during a wedding is that the dresses soak up the water and mud like sponges. Somehow the ladies made it through the day in immaculate condition. That is, everyone except for Julia who would have benefited from using a bib.

There are ants everywhere!

Looking GQ in his suit and mustache.

Always a crowd favorite, a groom so filled with emotion that it takes sheer willpower to control the tears.

Get you a bride who looks at you like this. Not the way Shelby is looking at me.

Everyone in attendance was probably checking the radar, praying, or doing mental math on how they would escape the rain. It was just a super light sprinkle to add a little extra spice to the ceremony.

They practiced their dip, and it shows.

Good clean stiff arm.

Beyond these trees you could see the rain advancing upon us.

And with that, formal portraits was put on hold till the weather cleared up again.

Rams fan in the making.

Personally, I feel like the bouquet and garter toss are a bit outdated. Paige did something different and dedicated her flowers to her mother.

The worst part about high humidity in the summer is your camera lens fogging up when coming out of the AC. The best part about a little bit of rain on your wedding day…rainbows.

I’m not going to lie though, the struggle was real for the next few shots. If you manipulate it just right though with some sun flare you get something dreamy.

When I say dreamy, I do mean dreamy.

Brady was 100% all in for being thrown into the air.

Using the row of giant planters for some foreground and background elements.

If you plant tall flowers, I will love your venue.

The groom wasn’t the only one tossed around.

It’s a tough question, what’s better, worm vs tumble?

Catching me from across the dance floor.

Glowsticks add a level of difficulty to the dance floor. They are waved around everywhere sometimes blocking faces, but when they part just right it’s just magical.

See you next weekend for round two Jack!

Favorite dancer of the day has to go to the groom. As soon as the music started, his jacket was stripped off, and he was shaking his lil thang like he needed dollar bills.

Pulling off the perfect twirl in a sea of people.

Shoutout to Lauren who was solo crushing it as bartender.

His and her heart sunglasses.

There we have it! You can’t control the weather, and if it rains you just have to adapt and don’t let it bring you down. Invite a mess of friends who will keep the dance floor hot, and you’ll be dry in no time.
