Megan and Colin

Warning: This blog does contain some slight nudity. How’s that for a first sentence!? The recipe for a great wedding day is pretty simple. Surround yourself with the funniest people you know, make sure the drinks flow like water, and then just go with the flow. I know you are all itching to see what I mean on several accounts, so scroll on!

Always looking for new ways to shoot a scene so that everyone’s wedding has their own look. Muriel is the stylist behind all the amazing hair.

Lots of firsts in this photo. A half-nakey bear chilling in the bridal suite in his swimsuit. There is no pool at Castle Farm. With all that said, I love the vibes.

Becoming one of my favorite shots to do.

Once again, Leila killing it with the makeup.

Mom showing off her selfies and feet pics. You guys will have to pay extra to see those.

Such a super fun idea that Megan had. Heart glasses with a custom wedding newspaper.

As soon as I walked into the groom’s suite, they asked if I wanted a beer. The answer is always yes.

Nothing beats a good side butt pic. I am upset that Colin would not crouch down to get a photo next to his lovely portrait.

Seriously one of the best group of guys ever.

A first look with the girls was not planned, but we wanted to move Megan out of the bedroom for some different scenery. The ladies practiced their wow faces, and Megan came out strutting.

If you have a slit, flaunt the leg.

Surprise vow readings from Megan’s sister, Lauren.

Followed by some teary eyes.

Just a whole lotta scrumptious over here.

Taking in a breath as she steps onto the aisle.

The way these two just burst out into laughter with one another is my favorite thing.

They were up till 2 or 3 in the morning writing their vows, and practicing their dip kiss.

I truly felt like we were crushing it with how fast formal portraits were going. The goal was for them to enjoy 30 minutes of cocktail hour, but time just flew by too quickly. That was the theme of the day. Sometimes weddings that go on beyond 9 PM fizzle out early. This was not one of those weddings. Before I knew it, the DJ was on the speaker announcing the last call.

That just before sunset lighting.

Something along the lines of “He turned his chin strap into a full beard, and morphed into a lumberjack of a man.”

Coming in early are my favorite dancers of the night. These two hit the floor running and just had the same energy all night.

Reeling it it.

There should be nothing holding you back from the dance floor.

I’m just a dancer, looking for a partner. Totally not the song that was playing during this Magic Mike moment.

When the crowd screams for blood. Also, shout out to Steph from Alison to the Altar for keeping me in the loop all day long.

You know, just dancing the night away while looking like you belong in Vogue.

A little sister sister singing action.

Finish it!

I don’t know what I like more, the reeling in or rope pulling someone to the dance floor.

These ladies owned that corner of the floor.

Close second for favorite dancer of the night was this gentleman as he rubbed up on that baby belly all night long.

The lowest you can possibly go.

That swinging hair while working the pole bridesmaid made sure that Megan’s hair and dress were top-notch during the final dance of the night. I just can’t believe how fast it all went. Those are the weddings that everyone will remember, and those are the ones that I find the most joy in being a part of. Thank you guys so much!
