Liz and Ryan

A bit of New Jersey, some Pennsylvania, add in some Maryland, and a sprinkle of Florida. That is the recipe for Liz and Ryan’s wedding from this past weekend. What I love about these two is they wanted to get to the party as soon as possible. We knocked out almost every single photo prior to the ceremony, and afterward, a sea of cocktails and horderves awaited their arrival. Scroll on to get a peek at how a windy and chilly June wedding plays out.

How do you like your dramatic lighting hairspray shots? Focused on the bride, or lighting up the spray itself?

A pair of beautiful dangly earrings placed on a little shrub just outside the entrance of Castle Farm. This is my first wedding ever since they brought me on as one of their house photographers. Alison is a coordinator that is part of the team as well, and she kept everyone informed and on time.

The bridal suite at Castle Farm is one of my favorites. Plenty of room for even the biggest of bridal parties. I am using the bridesmaid dresses here to block off part of the room to help isolate the wedding dress.

Busting out laughing while trying to pose for one of the first setup shots of the day.

I believe the hair and makeup team is part of Andrea Bounds Beauty. Here is Killian apply a few finishing touches before heading out.

Best man number one attempting to tie the tie. You read that right, attempting.

Favorite part of the bridal suite. All the ladies peeping down for an atypical pajama photo.

Fake laughing always leads to real laughing.

Liz providing you an example of an impeccable bride.

This maid of honor is one of the best. It’s not just because she called me adorable. She was there to assist the entire day, and her speech was super memorable. You’ll see.

I need every first look with Dad to be exactly like this. Fighting back tears while telling his little girl how beautiful she is, and how much he loves her.

Ryan professed the exact same thing to Liz.

The buttoned-up shirt and tie look amazing on Ryan, but I still wanted him to walk down the aisle in an open shirt with his gold chain dangling.

Maybelle the cow got to taste the veil not long after this photo.

Everyone chose jazz fingers.

A perfect line of beautiful ladies. The bridesmaid on the far left making love to the camera.

The individual shenanigan portraits of each of these gentlemen with Ryan serves as proof of how close of a friendship these guys have with one another.

With heavy overcast skies, the probability of a sunset shot was super low so we headed into the barn to get a different kind of silhouette shot.

Lucy, aka Pig, coming in with her porkchop of a tongue hanging out.

Using the thickest willow tree ever as a backdrop.

The wind was absolutely insane. The veil wanted to take off, and it was just a giant parachute trying to rip out of Liz’s hair in the next photo.

Maybelle wanting another taste.

More doggy flower girls please.

Why have one Smith Island cake when you can have four. That’s like a hundred collective layers.

I am trying to remember correctly, but I believe she sang her speech to the tune of “Tearing Up My Heart” by NSYNC.

I thought there was no way the two best men could follow that performance. I was so wrong. They also killed, and it was impressively well-choreographed.

I don’t know what’s happening in this photo either, but I like everything about it.

To everyone on the dance floor, you were all super awesome. You all just made the reception portion of my job super easy. Also, Alexa, you were an amazing videographer to work with!

Combo breakdance with a little wheelbarrow assist.

All the girls on this side of the dance floor made the cut for my favorite dancers of this wedding. They were super high energy, and bootys were flying everywhere.

This photo of these two embracing with just pure joy <3

“Ludacris fills cups like double D’s.”

Serenading Liz with everything they’ve got.

Sometimes tight dance floors are hard to work with, but when the seas part just enough, that’s where the magic is.

Sniper going in for the shot. JK, just a laser from the DJ’s lighting.

Early on in the day, I knew this lady was going to be tearing it up all night.

Casting out the fishing line, and reeling her in.

A little Mommy and Me dance floor action.

And there it is! The path to the tent is surrounded by horses and string lights. I could not think of a better way to finish off the blog. As I was packing up, everyone from the bride and groom, bridal party, and guests were singing praise at how much they enjoyed getting photographed by me. I can’t express how much I had fun photographing you all. Seriously! You all made this day so easy!
