Girl, Your Areola is Out

Delaware Boudoir Photographer

Welcome to my brand new boudoir blog! We are going to hit the ground running with a session with Ms. S.

I have known this young lady for a few years, and I actually went to college with her friend who came along to help. It has probably been almost two years since I had seen either one of the the two, but as soon as I walked into the door it was like we never missed a day. I was actually quite impressed with how prepared Ms. S was for her boudoir shoot. We talked about a few concepts she wanted to do prior to her session, but I did not expect everything to be so perfectly laid out. It’s my job as the photographer to take the reins on planning the ideas, but she made it easy. All I had to focus on was the lighting, composition, and posing.

In the background, her friend says “Girl, you look so hot right now!” One of the many reasons I love when clients bring a friend. these mini moments of awesomeness that create smiles that light up the room.

Another phrase that was also said “Girl, your areola is out.” That phrase definitely took us out of COMMISSION for a minute or two as we all had to recompose ourselves, and get back to business.

This next shot I just wanted a kiss of light to add a bit more mood and mystery to the scene.

The end of our session was the flower bath. In my past photographic endeavors, I have done milk baths, and glitter baths. With the flower bath, I was kind of curious as to how we were going to make the water more interesting. Ms. S was already prepared with a red bath bomb. I have never seen one work before now, but it is seriously awesome. Reminded me of those volcano science fair projects, but way more entertaining and way better smelling. Also a side note: Flowers and flower petals are surprisingly BUOYANT.

Just gaze into those eyes, and tell me you didn’t get lost for a second!
