Samantha and Mason

When I arrived to the venue, I started walking up the stairs to tell everyone I was here. Before I reached the door, it opened and a bridesmaid told me to come in. After saying my hellos, I went back downstairs to setup my lights for the day. Going back up the stairs, before I even got to the door, Samantha said “You can come in Jonathan.” That’s when I knew the force is strong with this wedding. Scroll on to see just what I mean!

Samantha told me she didn’t really need getting ready photos because she’s not a girly girl. Well, I snagged a few just in case :P

Putting Mason on the spot.

I never get tired of the views at Willowbrook <3

Pretty sure this is the first bridal party hand heart pose I have photographed!

Those deep reds and greens making Samantha pop.

Mason pretending to adjust the tie that I put on him.

When you are not in a good mood, but upside downs make you all better.

It was at this moment that I knew, their sense of humor was my kind of humor. So many penis jokes.

I always ask if people want to take their glasses off when they are wearing transitional lenses. Mason said he always wears them. Anyway, here is a photo just so you know what he looks like without them on.

“I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further.”

A personal message from Samantha to Mason played just before she walked into view.

First a selfie.

“We don’t need to see his identification.”

“Be careful not to choke on your aspirations.”

One of my favorite shots. That warm sunlight bleeding into the frame is just (chef’s kiss).

Alright, no more Star Wars quotes.

I love this shot too. The sun came out in full force around this moment though.

Samantha’s Uncle did the Vulcan salute and said “Live long and prosper” during his speech. What is funny about that moment was earlier in the day DJ Hector was telling me he didn’t know anything about Star Wars. I told him to do that exact same thing to the bride and groom to make him look dumb. He didn’t fall for it though. When this moment in the speech happened, we locked eyes from across the room and burst out laughing.

Sneaking out for a little sunset.

Love that I was able to snag this.

Carolyn tearing up the floor.

Stuck between and rock and a hard place.

Got caught watching the game.

Favorite dancer of the night goes to this bridesmaid. Full throttle for 2.5 hours.

Mason showing off his magic trick. Making two birds appear out of thin air.

And there we have it. My first ever Star Wars wedding!!! I really hope I get to do more themed wedding days. It was so much fun, and I am so thankful I get to enjoy every second of days like these.
