Sadie and Buck

A cool and slightly overcast spring day is the cheat code for a beautiful wedding day. Although, I did almost experience a heart attack upon arriving to the venue. The couple had put Sarah and William on their information for me, but all the wedding details said Sadie and Buck. Anyways, we kicked off the day with a shot in honor for her sister, and there is no better way to start photos. Scroll on to see “the tall redhead” you can’t miss!

Practicing the father daughter dance with the brothers coming in every few seconds to switch off.

Move over Arby’s. Sadie’s getting ready pictures has the meats.

Sadie was a dream to work with. Coming in never having met one another, she took direction very well and nailed everything I threw at her.

Pictures with animals are always a yes.

Sadie “My Dad is going to love you for taking that photo.”

Lighthouse Sound completely renovated their bridal suite, and it is so good.

Everyone had to lotion their elbows.

An impromptu hair trim not unlike the bangs incident.

Buck' “I should know how to tie a tie, I do it everyday.”

To be honest, this is how I work as well.

The bride and groom were down the hall from one another. At one point, Sadie and Buck were yelling at one another to make sure one wasn’t trying to sneak a peek at the other. Sadie tested the waters by popping her leg out to make sure he couldn’t see.

The most perfect bridal portrait ever!!!

Julianna “I forgot to hit record!”

Buck' “I’m so sorry! I just blew the biggest snot bubble ever!”

You’re not doing a first look right if there isn’t snot and tears.

Sadie “Something stabbed me! Omg there’s a needle left in my dress!”

Julianna running with scissors.

One of the brothers “What if she looks bad…what do we say?”

I love Buck because even though he already saw Sadie, and shared their own private vows with one another. He was still so excited and emotional.

Sharing the day with your sister <3

The officiant was their Grandfather, and he was very prepared for his roll. He was so prepared that he even made me a copy of every detail of the ceremony.

I fell a few seconds after this photo while walking backwards. Super embarrassing!

Crushing formal portraits of these two so they can get back to their family and friends. We stopped at two spots, and banged out several poses at each.

It took all hands on deck to figure out how to bustle the dress.

One of Sadie’s brothers had his shirt poking out of his zipper. This is a recreation so that we will never forget.

The Kentucky Derby. Also, flowers by the amazing Borrowed and Bloom!

As soon as the music started, the party cranked to 100%. It never dropped below that.

The Davies flag returns!

This dude was outside by the smores just smoking his cigar. I can’t think of a more chill way to hang.

It was super difficult picking my favorite dancer of the night, but I am going to have to go with this lady. She was bumping and shaking it by this table the entire night. All the guys are a close runner up though. They were sweating and stomping all night.

It’s risky stopping the music at any point during a wedding, but this guy on the piano did not disappoint. Everyone came in for the mini concert, and once the DJ started up again, they didn’t miss a beat.

Dad threw his shirt, Sadie caught it, and returned fire.

Who would have guessed that a room full of lawyers could party this hard!? It’s weddings like these that make the night fly by. Surround yourselves with your bestest of friends, a loving family, and some late night Fractured Prune donuts, and you have the recipe for something epic!
