MacKenzie and Zac

I had no idea what I was walking into starting this wedding day. The bride booked me a couple of weeks prior, and all I knew was that this would be a backyard wedding. I opened the door to people running around trying to get ready, and that’s when the magic started. This day is proof that if you throw a party of a wedding, you don’t need a whole day with a photographer. Scroll on to see what 6 hours looks like!

Cool calm and collected for this split second before changing the babies and applying any final touches. Shout out to Beauty For Ashes for doing all the hair. Also, shout out to Skye and Kelsey, otherwise I would not have been there that day.

Pretty much every photo of these two during the wedding day is exactly like this.

Me: “Now gaze deeply into his eyes.”
Best man: “The hell I will!”

The original plan was for me to meet the gentlemen at 2, but there was an audible called because they were ready to come over and get started.

Love this shot of her son playing as she gets dressed.

Kept Skye in the photo since she was the one full of smoke.

“Put your hat back on!”

The look says it all.

They had some fall decorations set up before the aisle and knew I wanted to use the candle holder as a frame for at least one shot.

Horses in the background of the ceremony. Everyone be jealous.

The first official family portrait.

Fallen leaves, fall colors, and a sun kissed bride.

I love that everyone is doing something different!

Michelob Ultra, I’ll take a sponsorship.

Probably been a while since MacKenzie has taken flight.

I asked Zac if the truck ran, and then if he wanted to do some donuts…didn’t even ask me to hold his beer.

Tucked a little flash in there to bring them out of the darkness, and you have this beautiful shot.

I mean come on. This is just fairy tale.

Probably the best sunset dip kiss by a chicken house photo there is.

The only way to open champagne.

I came into this wedding day not knowing who these people were. Once I found out who her dad was, I knew this day was going to be either trouble, an absolute raging party, or a little of both.

Another photo of them basically the exact same way.

Always good to see family be a part of a wedding day.

Tucked under the dinner table. After he was moved to bed later in the night, I can only assume someone else passed out here till morning.

Mama done fell out. I just happened to see these guys dancing off in the distance, I raised the camera to my eye to capture the moment, and then something even better happened. She is okay, but now she has an awesome memory to tell.

I’ll be seeing you next year Skye!

A beer in the hand and the love of your life in your arms.

This dude was getting it.

Gotta share the love.

Making love to the camera!

The bouquet somehow did filter through the chandelier. Would you believe me if I told you this reception area is where they park tractors!?

The ex-husband and ex-wife. Ricky got a little peek of what he’s been missing all these years.

And there it is! I cannot believe how big this sneak peek is given that I was only here for 6 hours. It just goes to show you that time does not always equal quantity. You put awesome people in front of the camera, and you are going to get awesome photos.
