Taylor and Nick

Here we are at the last wedding of 2023, and this is one that did not disappoint. The bartenders were working furiously to keep the drinks flowing, and everyone was putting them away without any problems. This bunch may be a little rowdy, but a little rowdy is that pinch of salt that brings out the flavor in photos. Scroll on, and I will see everyone in the blog again next year!!!

Using the ceremony spot to show off the dress.

Putting them clip ons in. Love this photo so much.

When fake laughing leads to regular laughing.

This wedding was decked out with some of my favorite vendors. Dani and Kate are the masters behind the makeup, and Caleigh created the hairstyles that somehow withstood the bursts of cold wind.

All the hooting and hollering from the ladies when Taylor was doing this pose <3

I love using these trees for the groom portrait.

If you can pry your eyes away from the gorgeous bride, at the bottom right corner is a snippet of the Nike tube sock that was a topic of discussion throughout the day. It was just a random item that was always right there.

First look with the girls was full of smiles and tears.

The first look with the groomsmen was filled with smiles and then looks of betrayal when they realized they had to chug the Smirnoff.

And first look with Dad. Taylor hit me in the heartstrings when she was trying to smile while forcing back tears.

The scrumptious ladies of the evening.

Little Miss Lovely put together the beautiful florals, aka the perfect frame for Taylor.

I attempted a different take on a group photo with the bride, and it came out so good.

Teresa with all the baked goodies.

Nick pulling out the big guns with a poem, and super touching letter.

Nick is one of the very few grooms I have had walk down the aisle with a smile on his face.

The wind was a little chilly, the sun was a little warm, and the first kiss was absolutely perfect. Melissa, for your first wedding, you were an amazing officiant.

Stopped in the perfect spot for the aisle dip kiss where a touch of sunlight was peeking through.

Nick didn’t get much air, the ladies were awesome for trying.

When you have a long flowing veil, it can be used to create some amazing sweeping photos. When you have a long flowing veil, it can also be a pain to keep in the hair. After this shot, she took it out.

Scott with the surprise butt grab.

One of the many iconic Kylan Barn photo spots.

And the iconic Kylan Barn tradition of placing a love lock on their fence.

Save a horse, ride a groomsman.

The way Taylor snuggles deep into Nick’s chest…

and the way she snuggles into her Dad’s.

Jenna is a “shake her hair wildly on the dance floor” kind of dancer, and I love it.

Lauren wins this round of favorite dancer of the night. Seriously did not think she was going to last all night, but those drunk eyes were deceiving.

My favorite way to use the neon signs at weddings.

Nick getting warmed up for the post-wedding festivities. I got to work once again with the videographer, Aubrie, and it was just as fun as it was the first time.

When I saw the glow sticks come out, I was hoping this guy was going to use them as a beer funnel just like he did at a previous wedding I photographed.

Number one fan!

No beer koozie gifts at this wedding, but Nick made do with what he had.

Earlier during formal portraits, Taylor asked me if we could go to the other side of the barn to take photos because she likes the lights. We went and did them, but I wanted to come back out when it was dark to give her something a little bit more dramatic.

So my daughter had her first crush last year with Lexie’s son, Easton. I totally did not recognize her until I asked her where I knew her from. I needed the baseball cap, leggings, and baby on the hip.

I don’t know if this was supposed to be the worm, but I was impressed with the air he was getting from those flying push-ups.

Best abs of the evening.

I am pretty sure these two were the very first two to hit the dance floor. The went strong all night.

DJ VO is one of my favorite DJs and a good friend of mine. He keeps the dance floor going all night so that I’m not just walking around bored. Also, his daughter came along and acted as my pseudo-assistant. Might have to bring her on my team. Anyway, here is Taylor showing us how she ranks all her vendors for the day.

And there we have it! They end of my 2023 wedding season. This was such a great one to finish off my year with. Everyone was amazing, a huge amount of guests stayed until the end, and these two had the time of their lives. In other words, this day was perfect.
