Morgan and Matt

1200 beers, 300 seltzers, 24 handles of vodka, and so much more. That is just a tidbit of what it takes to throw an awesome wedding party. It does not feel like it, but it’s been over a decade since I did Morgan’s high school senior portraits. Now I get to take part in one of the biggest events of her life. I was nervous coming into this day because the photos afterward were planned to be taken after dark, and the sister-in-law just happens to also be a talented photographer. I spent the night before planning some key photographs that I would attempt for the first time ever, and I am so happy with the results.

Kiarae once again pulled off some magic behind the hair. My favorite part about working with her is that she is usually invited to the wedding as well so I get to see her tear up the dance floor.

Brooklyn cracking me up with her phone. She came up to us at one point to tell us that we were running behind schedule based on the timeline she had.

A different take on the hairspray shot instead of it just being a silhouette.

Ashley was done and gone by the time I arrived to start the day, but I had Jenna pretend to do Morgan’s makeup so that she would have those photos. As soon as she brought the brush close, Morgan let out a scream. This is the first of the many faces you’ll see from this awesome bride in this blog.

The Captain himself.

First look fist bump with Dad

About to do first look with her brother, and this is the second of the many faces of Morgan.

It was tough finding locations for the different portraits throughout the day, and I pride myself on being adaptable in different conditions. This shot right here is money though. In the foreground on the ground are the snapdragons that were supposed to be all grown up for the wedding day flowers.

Matt was super nervous when he found out Morgan wanted to do a first look. I’ll give Jud credit, he changed out of his suit and into this dress way faster than I ever thought possible.

And Matt’s reaction was priceless.

We knew the aisle was going to be an obstacle. This is during the second announcement for everyone to remain seated so that they didn’t block her path.

I’m going to stop counting because there are so many faces. Love them all.

Post poop Captain family portrait.

Proof that you do not need a giant wedding party. Giant wedding on the other hand, I could swear there was 300 people in attendance.

I don’t usually post the family portraits on the sneak peek, but why not today!

Smith Corner Acres, check them out for all your fresh produce! Next photo will show you how dark it was during these formal portraits.

Setup a light to create a silhouette, and just beyond them is a mess of cars from all the guests in attendance.

Beers as far as the eye could see. Also, thank you to Ashley for assisting in getting everyone out of the bar area so we could do these two shots, and thank you to all the guests for understanding!!!

First dance snuggles.

Psyched Event Planning coming in clutch at keeping me in the loop about everything throughout the day!

Peeping that bear on the wall.

Hairstylist, professional wedding guest.

Popping the collar.

Another Morgan, and another high school senior I photographed way back when.

I can literally see the frustration this lady was having trying to tell Amanda to turn and get a photo with her.

Shenanigans on the dance floor.

My favorite part of the evening! I need more brides lifted up on the dance floor please!

Two perspectives of the same glow stick battle.

One day I want to be as cool as this dude.

And one day I want to have the dance moves of this girl.

Favorite dancer of the day is this woman. She was just using every inch of the dance floor, and it was glorious.

I can’t remember what exactly was going on during this photo, but I’m sure no man wants that reaction when a woman looks down there. JK they were gyrating right into each other.

This dude is a close second for favorite. These moves were made possible by the DJ JKA Weddings.

The mama of one of my favorite families to photograph!!! And there you have it. It was epic, Morgan’s face was stunning and expressive, Matt got to experience his own private drag show, and I got to hang out with the best group ever. I swear, the people of Milford just hit a bit differently.
