Ashley and Garrett

A couple of years ago, I photographed this couple’s engagement session at Schellville Village. Little did we know that those photos would take off, and spark the madness of trying to get professional portraits done at the event. It was also at that moment that I learned about Garrett’s love of craft beer, and how I introduced him to the hobby of brewing it himself. Just like Jenn said during her maid of honor speech, alcohol brought us all together (I pretended she included me).

Ericka Nunez should be a name you are familiar with by now as one of the best in the hair styling business.

I was trying to figure out what made these rings so different from what I was used to. I realized it was because you don’t see much gold nowadays. Very classy.

Bridal suite was head to toe filled with stuff. Using low angles and the dresses to help isolate the dress.

Make up was already done by Ashley of Mirror Mirror Artistry by the time I arrived. This is a bridesmaid doing her best at faking the shot for me, haha.

The secret to having a super sparkly ring is a dab of mayo. Ashley cracks me up.

Game day entrance outfits were on point. I just want these guys to dress like this everyday.

I know Alison will hate this photo, but I love it because of that.

Garrett doing the cuff fix pose like a natural.

A swoon photo of Ashley with a small snippet of the chaos which is a bridal suite.

First look with her class was super touching. Some of the kids dressed up for Ashley and it was the perfect mix of adorable, funny, and touching.

First look with Dad while the photographer continued eating the asparagus growing at Honey Bee at Hopkin’s Heartland.

First look with the groom followed by a private reading of their vows.

The amount of finger guns in this photos is still not enough finger guns.

Everyone looking all scrumptious.

Andy and his Truly still made it to the wedding.

For an early May wedding, the weather was so beautiful.

It’s tough to get the moment the ring gets put on the bride’s finger. It’s the hand that is furthest away from the camera so it’s super easy for the groom’s left hand to obscure the shot. Not in this case though.

The perfect end of the aisle dip kiss.

To quote Emily’s husband “My wife is officially a milf.”

Super impressed with the amount of people who got on the dance floor to tear it up before the official first dance.

Looking deep into his eyes with the biggest smile on her face is the best thing ever.

A surprise mother daughter dance that hit everyone in the feels.

So Dad can dance. I like it. Hector likes it too. Also, DJ Hector killed it just like he always does.

There was a section in the field of grain where there was a path for vehicles to drive through. Placing them on that path while I stood in the irrigation trail gives the illusion of being in the middle without having to deal with all the possible bugs.

A shot I almost always forget, but one that I really love. The solos photos.

Make out photos up ahead.

Favorite dancers of the day are these three. Super high energy and buttery smooth.

I think Bryan is doing the robot, while the other gentleman was searching for the era that this dance was considered cool. Just messing, I know for a fact that the robot is still cool.

I agree with Hector, the guided YMCA dance was pretty entertaining to watch.

The most hamburger meat on the dance floor.

Post ceremony outfit change, and still looking fabulous.

Getting all comfy cozy.

It’s always weird when a couple plans for me to stay beyond my time to continue partying with them. I always feel like I need to constantly continue taking photographs of the evening, but they made it very clear that they wanted me to put the cameras away. After several beers and a couple of orange creamsicle crushes, this amazing day came to a close.
