Neriha and Jake

This wedding came and went so fast! I feel like we were just drinking beers post-engagement session a few months ago, and here we are sneak peek time. Neriha (not Mariah), had some specific visions when planning her wedding, and it’s always hard remembering Pinterest boards. Hopefully, my own magic that I performed on your wedding day is just as awesome!

Neriha “Is a half bottle of perfume on a wedding day tacky? Jon, can you edit it to be more full?” The half bottle is officially part of the blog, and I think it looks just right.

I told her to look in the mirror, and she busted out laughing because she didn’t know what to do.

Bridesmaid doubling as makeup artist.

The girls over at The Makeover Place absolutely killing it with these hairstyles!

Quickly becoming one of my favorite photos. The bride pulling down her dress.

Seriously though this was her sister. Nope, it’s mama bear. Her little tear is everything.

Super scandalous shot of the day. I just want to point out that this was a beach wedding by Barefoot Beach Brides. She didn’t want to wear shoes so she wore these lace toe things that were just amazing.

“Can we turn around yet!?”

I spoke with Jake a few moments before the ceremony began. He was so relieved that the wedding day was finally upon us, and I was so excited to see him wearing a bolo tie.

Favorite photo of their son. This was just before his mama came down the aisle.

The pure happiness Neriha exuded when she saw her little man.

The officiant just had surgery on his foot so a huge shoutout to the grooms that helped him step aside so I could grab this photo. Also, Neriha and Jake, if you heard me say “Kiss again.” It was because I yanked the mic away really quick so it wouldn’t be in the shot.

Alright, next wedding! Time to leave the beach!

Everyone was beeping, and I’m sure the wedding party thought it was for them. Sometimes it’s tough walking around being recognized as Best of 2022 Sussex County Wedding Photographer :P

Never fails, every single time I ask for seductive look, everyone busts out laughing. I will say, they nailed it though.

Move out of the way guys! Audi is coming through no matter what.

I need more groomsmen chanting ooga chaka, and bridesmaid’s flower tunnels during introductions.

He was carted to the front of the alter on a beach wheelchair, he walked with crutches, but that did not stop this gentleman from dancing with his wife.

Just like these two, I am not a fan of cake. I am a fan of donuts though. They wanted to sneak cut their cake without announcing anything, and that’s what they literally did. Just cut the cake. Thank you guys for doing a donut bite afterward for me.

Family dance.

Followed by grandmother dances.

Heather, brought me food during the getting ready portions of my day, so she is awesome in my book.

Best man over here was itching for the dancing to start. Pretty sure he was the first one on it.

Tanisha, I wish I had the pleasure of photographing your wedding girl!

Anyone who dances while eating has a place in my heart and my blog.

Favorite dancer of the night was this dude! He was not stop all night long, legit a good dancer, and was not afraid to get his crisp white shirt dirty on the ground.

Favorite photo of the bride.

I can hear the “rarrrrrrr” in this photo.

Maid of honor fulfilling the last of her duties this evening with a quick light test.

The blog is not over yet! We ran out of time for photos because the ceremony started late. After the send off, the bride and groom scampered off with me for a few more photos.

And there you have it! This was a short wedding day ending at 8:30PM, and I got to leave with the most wedding treats ever. Neriha and Jake set me up with a full box of donuts, a handful of dipped pretzels, and these cupcake truffles. Pretty much setting the bar higher for my future brides. Also, I’m ready for our next beer date :P
