Megan and David
It’s rare that I work a wedding where the getting ready portion is completely finished by the time I arrive to start. This was planned though so I already knew we were going to be faking those shots so that Megan could have some of those in her album. It actually turned out pretty good, and the girls were all super helpful (and ready to tear up the dance floor). Also, the homemade potato chips in the corner were super delicious.
Sometimes it’s difficult to find a place that will be good to isolate the wedding dress for a photo. I used the room divider to add some dimension and to block some of the stuff on the ground and used this giant mirror for something different.
Maid of Honor pretending to do the lipstick. Heartli Holston is the master behind the epic faces you see before you, and Tracy from Beauty For Ashes crafted all the hairstyles. This is my first wedding where every single woman wore their hair down.
Those one second bursts of hairspray aren’t cutting it. I need you to hold that button down girl!
Absolutely beautiful girl!
Practicing their moves.
David, I want you to look deep in his eyes while he fixes your crooked tie.
David “I think Jon should put this on.”
Mom “Why?”
David “Because you keep saying I don’t know if I can do this while jabbing the needling in.”
You can get lost in those puppy dog eyes.
David’s Grandfather officiating the ceremony.
We got to experience two live performances during this ceremony. One from the groom himself, and another from the cousins.
Crashing the formal portraits when it’s not your turn.
Bestman “No, we are definitely throwing you in the air.”
That late afternoon silhouette.
The Heritage Shores coordinator, Beth, was flagging us back. Someone has to keep me in line.
A water fountain inside the cake thanks to Paulas Cakes.
This couple during the speeches <3
Having your best friend host the shoe game.
Tristan from Steve Moody Entertainment provided the entertainment and photo booth for the reception. These guys are always fun to work with.
I love it when couples smile at each other during slow dances.
Favorite dancers of the evening go to these two. Non-stop all night.
How much do you love the photographer Liz?
As soon as I walked up to Ryan we just started talking about this coming hunting season. When he finally got on the dance floor, he mimed for me to get ready, and dipped Anne. The smiles on their faces is everything.
I know Tyler secretly loves to dance.
My favorite shot of the day!
The best kind of dance face.
