Hanna and Jack

It’s hard to put into words the magnitude of awesomeness that was Hanna and Jack’s wedding. Despite losing his mustache, Jack was so chill and easygoing throughout the day. I was also pleasantly surprised at the dance machine that emerged later in the evening. Hanna is probably the easiest person I have ever talked to, and her smile combined with her eyes… There is no cold heart that won’t be warmed by them. I’ve been sitting at this computer for a couple of hours now trying to put into words how grateful I am to have met these two as well as everyone else on this amazing evening. I guess the best way I can express how awesome this wedding was is to just show it.

The first wedding that I know of where a cummerbund was used. Later on, this sweat-soaked belly article of clothing was used as a make-shift ninja mask.

Going to have to start reaching out to breweries for all this free advertising. This is your one Sierra Nevada.

Guys got finished in record time so that gave us some free moments for some shenanigans.

Different take on the wedding dress portrait with the most perfect look from Hanna that I could ever ask for. The hair stylist working with this beautiful mane was Honey Salon.

Using a picture on the wall to create this reflection shot.

I am always inside the bubble of the makeup artist, and I am so thankful that they are so tolerant of me. I also love when I get there, and they are setup in the best lighting possible for a room. This is Marisa working her magic.

No Lieutenant Dan’s please!

Georgie “Make sure you get my big arm muscles.”

Shortly after the first look, we went to the Rehoboth Art League for some formal portraits of the two.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite ways to capture the bride. Using the Groom as a foreground for framing.

The Lighthouse Cove is pretty epic with their three flights of stairs that the bride descends before walking down the aisle.

That slight breeze fanning out her dress.

These guys were all so fun. Bonus points because they were all up for doing my photos ideas, no matter how silly they were.

We lost one article of clothing in this spot, unknowingly. When we came back out later for sunset pictures, we were like “Oh crap!”

My favorite image of the evening.

Big shout out to the gentleman who graciously let us have the dock for this sunset photo (also the guy who let us have the dock for the first look).

Shortly after I arrived to take getting ready photos, Jack received a phone call from his older brother who was out at sea. Looking at this groom’s face, and hearing the cracks in his voice was enough to tell me that these two were close. Then we flash forward to this speech, given by his little brother, and you can see that the bond runs deep throughout the family.

Credit to Jack for assisting me in creating this photo…even if he kept pointing the flash at Hanna’s crotch.

My first ever sword cake cutting! The cake was made by a family member, and holy moly was it so good. I had the chocolate which had a raspberry icing filling. I was in heaven.

When your bride wants you out there…

And you take that hand, and add a little pepper to the dance floor.

So I usually have a favorite dancer of the evening, but it was way too hard to just pick one person. Take this bridesmaid for example who is just radiating elegance.

Then you have Jack, who can break dance and hip thrust with the best of them.

And this couple where he is literally sweeping her off her feet.

And a dance that involved pizza followed closely by a slow dance with a different slice of pizza.

And we can not exclude anyone who air guitars. Like I said. Way to many favorite dancers of the evening.

The macarena. Easily an under utilized group dance song.

This girl, whoever you are, I am still so thankful that you asked the bride and groom to redo the “Time Of My Life” jump for me. From across the dance floor, I was heartbroken that I actually missed the shot. She parted the sea of people, and I was able to capture the following moment.

This day was so perfect, and I was so sad when it came to an end. I really hope I get to see these guys again.

Can you find the cummerbund ninja in this final shot?
