Keena and Trey

My last wedding for 2022! The bride is a friend of mine, the DJ is a friend of mine, the hairstylist is a friend of mine, and the venue owners are friends of mine. If that’s not a killer way to finish off my year, I don’t know what is.

A 40-degree December makes for a beautiful wedding day. The photos outside were a little chilly, but there were days in October that certainly felt colder. It was my fellow ex-Respiratory Therapist colleague’s turn to walk down the aisle, and the laughs coming out of the bridal suite is music to my ears. Scroll on to check out their awesomeness!

Keena and Trey put together a killer list of vendors! Starting off the bat is Lorilicious Cakes. I am seeing her at basically every other wedding, and that is amazing.

Ericka Nunez is the bomb to work with. She is one of those talented makeup/hairstylists that will fit into any bridal party as if she was one of the girls.

I am going to call myself out on this one. I thought for sure that the bridesmaid on the right was going to be a wallflower during the reception. I was 100% wrong. Tore up the dance floor all night which won her and her husband my prestigious award for being favorite dancers of the wedding.

Keena asked me at this moment “Do you actually know how to use your equipment, or do you just bring extra stuff so it looks like you do?”

When everyone loves everyone, and we all just have fun together.

Tag teaming the bride with a button up and lotion down combo.

First look with Dad. He almost got a sneak peek earlier in the day when he tried sneaking into the bridal suite.

And first look with brother. These need to happen more!

The depth and diversity of the Groom shenanigans photo is off the charts here and I love it.

Trey…or should I say McSteamy.

And he’s ready!

Having a friend officiate your wedding makes everything more fun. Writing personal vows is the cherry on top.

Chickberry Farms is like the OG of Sussex County wedding venues. So many awesome little nooks and crannies around the entire property to capitalize on for photos.

Giving me that scrumptious look.

My second favorite photo of Keena. The first is her as a Ninja Turtle.

Huge shout out to Jessica for checking up on me. She is a super talented photographer, and friend who is a guest at this wedding. She came outside to make sure I didn’t need any help, and she assisted me in holding the veil for this photo.

It takes a lot of courage to stand up in front of a hundred people, and this little dude came up and blessed the food with no problem.

When her scissors cuts that paper.

Adding to a special day by celebrating another special day.

Trey has about 2 feet on Keena, but she powered that cake right through.

The talented photographer herself!

Let that music take control.

The anniversary dance winners.

A wedding party and family only sparkler exit.

I told her to spin fast enough to flare out her dress. She went into hyperdrive.

This was my last wedding of the year, and DJ Hector was right here by my side. I look forward to working with you again sir in the 2023 wedding season!

Contender for favorite dancer of the night was this silky smooth worm.

It is way easier to party in a set of jammies than it is in a wedding dress.

Preview for after the wedding.

It is always an amazing experience when I get to witness a friend have one of the happiest days of their lives. There are some stresses that may occur on your big day, but if you just get out and dance then all that will disappear. If I know one thing, it is that the ones who are there dancing their hearts out the entire night are the ones who have a place in my heart. I can not wait to see what life has in store for you two!
