Shelby and Mat

The wind was cool and the sun was warm, two opposites that make the perfect pair much like Shelby and Mat. On the day of the rehearsal, Mat mentioned that he did not like to be the center of attention, and all his friends described him as the quiet artsy type. Shelby, from what I have seen, is not afraid to get out there. She has a presence on TikTok and Youtube, and she is currently working on starting her own business. Two opposing personality types that come together with love. Scroll on to see just how much love!

Somehow the dress was sitting at the bottom of the bag instead of hanging so the bridesmaids got called into action to steam out every last wrinkle.

Space was a little tight, but we managed with a room filled with almost 20 people. The ladies from Beauty Bar killing it with hair and makeup.

Favorite bridal portrait of the day!

These girl were awesome. Also, they somehow managed to get themselves picture perfect on the bed completely on their own.

Youngest wedding guest of the day.

Pocket square was supposed to be black, but Mat looks amazing regardless.

My favorite part about Lighthouse Cove is the double staircase. The pool floor made for a great first look with the ladies.

The first look was emotional, and the reading of the vows was even more so. All these beautiful tears pre-ceremony, and he still had some for his bride coming down the aisle.

All those clouds in the sky, and the sun still manages to coming out blazing during formal portraits.

A kiss so filled with love that the force brought him onto his toes.

Just that little bit of sun to make this tunnel shot epic.

Instead of introducing each member of the wedding party, they all came out at the same time to form a tunnel for an extra awesome entrance.

Sneaking out right before dinner for a sunset shot.

The only way to kick off the dance party.

Loved this girl’s dress. The strap wrapped around the back of her neck, and became a sleeve.

Somehow managed to get all the sand out of his beard after doing pushups on the beach.

I don’t know what this kid was thinking at this moment, but I feel like “I don’t want to dance Mom” fits perfectly.

Reunited with one of my old Dairy Queen work buddies, Spork.

That flex making those buttons work overtime.

100% love this photo just because of the way his beer looks in the light.

During rehearsal, this bridesmaid spent all evening fighting the wind from showing off her Marilyn Monroe impression.

“I am Mat’s taller and better looking brother.”

When the music just takes you over.

Shelby and Mat just casually walked up to their table, and then picked up both bottles and started chugging.

She came up to me requesting a photo with her and two of her friends. She said “We might kiss, but don’t judge us!” No judgement here other than the fact that you never came back.

Everyone who started out on the dance floor stayed on the dance floor all night long. My favorite dancer of the evening was this lady. Some people like to be on the outside, some will stay in the middle, and this girl was whipping her hair on every inch of dance space available.

You may recognize Billy in what feels like every other wedding I photograph. This dude is easily my favorite wedding guest.

The wedding guest who is always aware of where I am, and is always looking at me during her candid dance photos. I’m okay with it though.

Using their wedding sign for a reflection shot.

Teaching everyone how to Dougie.

Every once in a while, I meet someone at a wedding that I can easily see myself hanging with. Jordan was one of those people.

You know, just casually meeting eyes with the photographer as your shirt flutters open. He might be missing his calling as romance novel cover model.

I have no doubt in my mind that Mat researched DJing after his wedding day. He had so much fun behind the deck thanks to Wired Up Entertainment.

This photo was not taken at the same time as the last photo. I saw Mat wander around the dance floor, and then stop right next to the DJ booth. I asked him if he was trying to sneak back in there, and here is your answer.

These guys are surrounded by so much love that the sparkler send off was the longest I have every experienced. Seriously, it was from one end of the boardwalk to the other. It’s no surprise that the dance floor was filled all night long, and a filled up dance floor makes my job so much easier. You were all so great!
