Taylor and Zach

The best part about having people who aren’t married as part of your wedding party is that I could potentially scoop them up as one of my own down the road. That was the case for Taylor and Zach. Last year Taylor was a bridesmaid, and her cowboy of a plus one won my heart. It’s the uncaring attitude of having fun no matter what you look like, and the ability to make others laugh even though they are a stranger to you. Those qualities make for the best photos, and if you don’t believe me, then scroll on.

Taylor was in the tent getting everything ready for the day. I had asked where the girls were at so I could start some detail photos. She told me to head upstairs, and that I would hear them. I walked into the house only to find silence. Afraid of wandering through the house, and stumbling upon something I shouldn’t be stumbling upon, I walked back out to ask Taylor to guide me. Once I found everyone, the silence did not last long. This flower girl illuminated the room with her songs.

I don’t have many weddings where everyone does their own makeup. These ladies killed it though.

Morgan gifting a charm containing a photo of Taylor’s late Grandparents.

Fake laughs always turn into real laughs.

Maid of Honor, Morgan, setting me up for the hairspray shot.

Uneven handle bars need hedging.

Zach “I want a photo where all my guys are fighting to put my jacket on.”

Magazine worthy.

The only way to spread flowers is by the fist full.

The perfect ring presentation photo before placing it on her finger.

I love when children participate in the shenanigans.

The beautiful ladies.

And the guys are okay too.

The slight smirk <3

First to the beer, but didn’t commit fully to the grab.

When the trust fall fails.

Bridesmaid, no scratch that, buffmaid.

This area is literally the property line with a hedge of overgrown bushes. This spot is also just straight magic for photos.

I will take genuine laughter in a bridal portraits any day of the week.

Zach said something along the lines of “Because of Taylor, I have quit drinking as much, I feel better, I have lost weight, and I can touch my toes. I have never stretched before she came into my life.”

What I love about these two is that they play with one another.

Emotional and funny speech number one.

Emotional and funny speech number two.

And just plain funny speech. She said “When I first met Zach, I didn’t want him to date my Aunt Taylor because I thought he was weird, and didn’t want him to be my Uncle.”

Super jacked baby horse checking out the kiss.

My favorite kissing photo of the day.

Super jacked baby horse with super jacked owner.

Zach demolished Taylor’s face.

But it’s okay, embrace the cake face.

Only to be betrayed once again.

There were half a dozen four leaf clovers that were found, and one five leafed clover.

Into the pond with you!

I only heard Taylor request one song, and it was cotton eyed joe.

Ain’t nothing wrong with a little bump and grind.

A couple who Tina dances, starts the lawnmower, and sprinklers together, stays together. FOr that, these two both win my favorite dancers of the wedding.

And just like that, my last wedding for May has come and gone. There is something special about a backyard wedding. The itinerary for the day was literally arrive at 1 pm, ceremony at 4 pm, and it ends at 9 pm. The schedule is loose, people can wander around while still being at the party, and the stress of following a plan is nonexistent. Don’t get me wrong, I love the grandness of being at a venue, but this goes to show you that backyards can still hang with the big dogs.
