Michelle and Nick

We can all agree that rain on a wedding day is something no one wants. Luckily, if I remember correctly, Michelle and Nick originally planned on having the ceremony inside anyways. This was also a short day for me starting at the end of the girls getting ready, and me leaving at 8 pm. The wind was blowing and the rain was pouring, but this day was still elegant as ever. Scroll on to see the story that is Michelle and Nick.

The getting ready portion was not a priority for Michelle, but I always like to do a few shots anyways to help convey how the day progressed.

Hair and makeup happened so fast! I finally got to meet Tina of Third Eye Artistry in person, and she was in charge of putting together all the bridesmaid’s hair. Michelle’s bridesmaid Krista was in charge of her hair, and Kaytee was behind the makeup. Everyone looked amazing.

The best mirror shot I have ever taken!

Flower girl with her over the shoulder look to show off her dress.

Right before Michelle put on her dress, I wanted one more “fancy” photo of her.

This was not a planned first look with the girls. They were just all lined up when she came out from behind the curtain.

And first look with the man himself. I need to take tips from Nick on style.

First time doing formal portraits completely inside.

Their one photo request was a photo at the staircase.

I think Nick had like 4 pee breaks pre-ceremony during pictures.

I love this idea that the videographer, Olivia, came up with. 360 pan around the wedding party.

Nick choking up during his vows.

I will give Bayside props for having multiple interesting areas to photograph this couple in. Made my job so easy.

Standing in bushes to get a slightly different photo from all the rest.

One of the flower girls decided to tear up the dance floor during the first dance. I did capture it, but I really love this photo of their reaction to her.

You don’t have to scroll very far to find my favorite dancer of the night. This bridesmaid is in so many dance photos as either the main subject or in the background because she was just non-stop the entire evening.

Her parents won the anniversary dance!

Getting lower than I have ever dreamed of achieving myself.

It’s always a struggle when the group with the most energy on the dance floor form a tight circle of chaos. Faces I am photographing turn around, get blocked by a hand, or the circle closes me off before the shutter clicks. When all things align though, you get a photo with awesome dimension.

You may recognize these two from basically every Milford people wedding I have ever done.

Snuck Michelle and Nick out for a couple minutes for a nighttime photo.

Favorite dance photo of the evening!

Second favorite.

You know it’s a good song when everyone is screaming, or the smiles are as wide open as they can possibly get.

When the sea of dancers part just long enough to capture this awesomeness.

I assume this is her older son, and the youngest one was fighting off all attempts to get on the dance floor.

The trust dip.

Prior to this wedding, I knew of Michelle and Nick just through email. When I get clients like that, I always wonder how they will be in person. These two are just awesome. I say it a lot, but there is no better way to describe them. This wedding is my second to last one for the year, and it set the bar high for my last one.
