This is it! The conclusion to my three in-a-row weddings at Vanderwende Acres! Elise and Matt brought the party down to Sussex county, and there was plenty of booty grinding to go around. Everyone was drenched in sweat, there was a drink in every hand, and the 300+ pound Groom got to feel what it was like to be carried like a baby.
Testing out the hair extensions.
A little extra hairspray just for the shot! Hair was by Tara!
Proud mama.
One of my favorite photos of the day. Elise, you eyes are just popping! Makeup was done by Ashley.
Full length mirror with a bride reflection (chef’s kiss).
Elise was running just a smidge behind schedule, but her Dad sat patiently in his car until she was ready for him. The look he had, and the way he buried his face into her immediately after was just the best.
Two things I want to point out. I was wondering why Elise put two cotton swabs in her chest crevice before her first look with Matt. She used them to precisely dab away the tears. Second, I have a photo of Matt looking at Elise’s chest similar to this at his brother’s wedding.
The most sultry looking bride and entourage.
Matt’s ring is a size 16. This dude is a monster.
When she got to the bottom of the staircase and started her walk down the aisle, Elise took a couple of deep breaths. It was a beautiful moment that came and went in a few seconds. It’s those moments that I want everyone to remember.
Having a friend officiate your wedding will always make it more enjoyable and personal. They are able to deliver inside jokes that will hit home with everyone present, and that helps take away the pressure of standing in front of all your guests.
Cheesing, posing, and penguin waddling. Also, Dolphins beat the Ravens 42-38.
No one wanted to toss Matt up into the air so we are doing a beer salute. Leslie the coordinator was a dream to work with. She brought drinks when everyone was thirsty, kept me in the know of upcoming events on the itinerary, and made sure the day went flawlessly. Click her name to check her out.
We all love the bushes that surround the house on Vanderwende Acres so of course we had to use them in some foreground action.
Lace dresses are a magnet for collecting bugs, grass, and anything else that may be on the ground. Matt with the assist so the 20th grasshopping doesn’t have to be fished out.
Battling for the honor of being the next table to get dinner. I think that’s DJ Hector, you guys might know him. 2000’s punk rock will always be my favorite during weddings because of this man right here.
This is how you know a toast is awesome. You get the biggest smile.
The big little brother toast.
They caught me creepin!
Ah! She did too from across the floor!
I’d be lost in bliss too if I was dancing with two beautiful ladies.
The best sunset photo of a groom palming his wife’s chest.
I asked if they were interested in going in the soybeans, and Elise said that this was Matt’s favorite part of the whole venue.
My favorite dancing photo of the entire day. I will always love the big smile with hair bouncing candid.
Lauren catching her 7th bouquet as a single lady. Seven is a lucky number girl!
Just a little dab will do ya. Cake and desserts by Sweet Melissa.
They did it!
A different angle of the barn for this shot.
Favorite dancers of the night goes to Kayla and Lauren. Just out there trying their best to start a fire with all the bumping and grinding.
At some point, cigars were brought out so I asked Elise and Matt to step out onto the patio while the guys puffed away.
The awesome ladies at Hitched Pub fueled all this madness! At last call, Matt grabbed a ton of beverages and started walking around to ensure the remaining guests had something to take them to the end. He included me in that, thank you, sir!
The most meat I’ve ever seen in a sandwich.
Glow sticks and everyone rushing into the bride and groom for the final song is a great way to end the evening. Val is the real mvp of this moment though. The circle had a few stragglers as a couple of the groomsmen wandered through. She understood the assignment of letting Elise and Matt have their moment before all hell turns loose. This was a wedding I was looking forward to for a long while, and now that it is done I’m a little sad. I guess the next time I’ll see the whole crew come together for a celebration such as this will be when one of their kids gets married :P
