Laura and Markie

I first met Markie and his best man Freddy about 15 years ago. We worked at the fine establishment known as the Springhill Dairy Queen where we got brutalized every summer by beach traffic going home. After all these years, these two have not changed one bit. I love that. When Marty first introduced me to Laura during their family portraits my first impression was “How in the world is this girl so sweet!?” Every word that she speaks is through a smile, and you just can’t help but fall in love. This is my first Friday wedding of the season and even though it was only a half day, these two spared no expense. Just keep scrolling, it was pretty epic.

I love when there is plenty of room for me up front!

The time it took from the start of the ceremony to this moment was probably an hour. Within that time span the one groomsman broke his flower and his bow tie.

Baywood Country Club has one of the most amazing landscaping in the area. Multiple bridges, flowers everywhere, a tunnel, and beautiful trees. You also get CHAUFFEURED around the grounds in a golf cart which is pretty fun. Kudos to the Bride and Groom for not spilling a drop of MARGARITA on their white outfits!

That’s not all! They also had their first dance in the clouds. Marty said his ankles got so cold they felt hot.

I wish I knew what he was saying to her at this moment.

Don’t just go right for the garter. You have to put on a little show first.

The MC had jugs out for who was going to get cake smashed. Markie lost by a landslide. Freddy tried to step in and take one for his friend, but Markie decided to ultimately take the bullet. Also, I’d like to point out how everyone was like “wait wait wait!”

Favorite dancer of the night was this gentleman over here. He was pretty much the energizer bunny once he got started. That did not get him this prestigious award though. What won it for him was the dedication of eating his cake while doing the Get Up.

We still have some CO2 left, do you want to finish the tank?

She sprinted towards me, leaped into the air, asked to see the photo, and then ran off.

This has to be one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever had the chance to photograph. It ran from Noon to 630PM, maybe had around 40 guests, but it was one of the most magical. Everyone was a big happy family, and I GUARANTEE you each one of them will remember this day. If they don’t, I know I will. It’s amazing to think that it’s been 15 years since I have seen these guys, and it was like we never missed a beat. They were a part of my Dairy Queen family, and now Laura is married into the awesomeness.
